Fire Station 7 Location History |
||||||||||
|
Engine Co. 7 was first placed in service in 1901 in a wood building on San Pablo Ave. at 58th St. in Oakland's Golden Gate District. Engine 7 then moved into a new 2-story, brick firehouse on 59th St. at San Pablo, in 1909. The Company would relocate again in 1950 to a modern, single-story, station at 60th and Idaho Streets. Engine 7 served at this location until it was disbanded in 1979. Now, at the new North Oakland Hills Fire Station #7, the engine company makes its return July 1999 to serve the neighboring citizens from the intersection of Amito Ave. and Gravatt Dr. |
