AT THE HILLS DEVELOPMENT MEETING ON MARCH 27, 2006 THE FOLLOWING COMMITMENTS WERE MADE
- Claudia Cappio (Planning Director) will within 90 days provide
a) A PDF map of the North Hills area will be created that could be posted to our NHPA web site showing the "developable" 6,000 lots and open space.
b. A list of the addresses of the developable properties will be included with the map
c) The NOHASP 1986 document and the General Plan, Hillside Residential Section 1998 document will be reviewed by Claudia to determine their relevance and utility.
d) The 6,000 lots will be reviewed to determine if the General Plan's recommendation to reduce overall lot sizes to 5,000 square feet instead of 8,000 square feet will have any significant impact.
e) The impact of down-zoning from R30 to R10 or R20 will be considered.
f). The information regarding slope-density requirements and their effects will be gathered and
disseminated.
- Claudia Cappio's staff will review the number of permits that were issued in the past year that had approved variances in the hills area.
- Claudia Cappios's staff will report on the number of pending permits in the hills area that currently exist.
- Mike Neary, Asstant Director, Design and Construction Services Department, Public Works Agency will review the Charing Cross road width issue and confirm if it is in violation of the 20' road width minimum as reported. Jane Brunner (Councilwoman District 1)
- Jane Brunner (Councilwoman District 1) will resubmit the previously approved policy that permitted construction inspectors to enforce parking restrictions by issuing parking tickets to City Building Inspectors and fire department personnel to attempt to get some enforcement.
- Jane will establish another meeting in approximately 90 days to review the above information and discuss further issues including slope density limits considerations, the plan for open space requirements for significant development projects, the infrastructure improvements that may be required with future development, including drainage, evacuation access, parking limitations, provision or open space conservation/trails, and police and fire presence.
