June 17– Thursday, June 17, 7-9 p.m.  Oakland public budget meeting.  Peralta Elementary School - 460 63rd Street. The event runs from 7-9 p.m. and will include a presentation from city officials and time for questions and comments from the audience.

May 6–  Community Workshops on Draft Energy and Climate Action Plan.   On Thursday, May 6, there will be two identical Community Workshops to provide an overview of content in the Oakland draft Energy and Climate Action Plan (click here for PDF) and receive public comments.  Workshop Session 1: 3-5pm and Workshop Session 2: 7-9pm.  Both will be held at the Elihu M Harris State Building, 1515 Clay Street (between 15th St & 16th St), Meeting Room 1.   For more information, including how to submit comments on the plan, click here.

April 26– Zoning Workshop. The first Citywide Zoning Update Community Workshop will be held at the North Oakland Senior Center (5714 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010. This workshop will focus on proposed Zoning changes to West and North Oakland including the North Oakland Hills. Please read the invitation.

Caldecott Tunnel– For anyone that missed the March 25th Caltrans meeting on the Caldecott Tunnel Fourth Bore, here are two detailed maps (from Circle Point Communications) for on this side of the tunnel: 1) the locations of Contractor Parking and 2) the Truck Routes.

March 25– Caltrans will hold a community-wide information meeting regarding the Caldecott Tunnel Fourth Bore construction on Thursday, March 25, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, at Kaiser Elementary School.   Please see the agenda.

January 30– Rain Barrel Sale for Rainwater Capture Program.  Saturday, January 30th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Kaiser Elementary School.

January 26– Annual Meeting.  Hiller Highlands Country Club. Tuesday, January 26th from 7 to 9 pm.  Included on the agenda is a discussion of an important bylaws amendment to the existing bylaws.  Update: The bylaws amendment pass unaminously resulting in this bylaws revision.
